About The Book

Over the years, Statistics has evolved into a fascinating multidisciplinary field focusing on the joy of learning, testing assumptions, producing new data, making predictions, scientific breakthroughs, and data-driven decision- making by quantifying the element of chance. Statistics are now employed by a wide range of organizations, including social organizations, entrepreneurs, government agencies, and all marketers.

Its descriptive and inferential responsibilities not only form the foundation for practically all contemporary fields but also provide a variety of non-traditional career opportunities, ranging from that of univariate analysts to multivariate analysts. The sampling distributions, tests of significance and regression analysis have all become indispensable tools used in the viability of statements.

The author has defined basic statistics ideas as well as measurements of eloquent statistical analysis using tools and methodologies. This book has 19 units and provides up-to-date material that is accurate; nonetheless, it is presented in the form of exercises, examples, and applications. This text will help in dealing with coefficient and correlation interpretation, regression analysis, deviations, degrees of freedom, hypothesis testing, and effect size estimate. At the end of each unit, students are given multiple choice questions and problems to solve.

SALIENT FEATURES:

      1. Simply and comprehensively, the book covers both theoretical and applied elements of statistics.

      2. The theoretical part of each sub-section has been supplemented by easy demonstrations and complex problems have been given thereafter as solved instances.

      3. Special attention has been paid to topics such as probability distribution, sampling distribution, test of hypothesis, post hoc tests and application of statistics to different disciplines of computers.

      4. Flow sheet of Excel and SPSS has been given for the calculation of statistical parameters.

      5. The book has been written following the syllabus of Statistics of the CBCS system.
